Petty Officer 2ed Class Thompson proudly served as a Machinist Mate on the aircraft carrier, USS Kennedy and was stationed in the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm. He worked with his older brother at Brandon Materials for a while before enlisting in the US Navy. He was raised and educated in Brandon and graduated from Brandon Valley High School in 1985.

Funeral services will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, Decemat Heritage Lutheran Church, Brandon, with Pastor Sandy Soye officiating. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 PM on Friday, Decemat Heartland Funeral Home. The family resided in the Chicago area for several years where Darrel worked as a Finance Manager for a car dealer. To this union two children were born Andrew and Brandie. He then attended and graduated from the Sauk Valley Community College with a degree in Business.ĭarrel met and married Cyndie about this time. Keith was raised and educated in the Amboy area and Graduated from Amboy High School in 1972. Veith, 60, of Sioux Falls, died Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls.
